Bowring Park was a lovely surprise for an evening stroll yesterday! Underrated by locals, this sprawling green space includes a huge duck pond, multiple bridges, forest-covered trails, huge moose statues, community pool, water park, playground...and presumably even more since we stopped before making it the whole way through.

Among the highlights were a statue reportedly (but unconfirmed) of Peter Pan and a historic fountain for horses so that you can keep your steed hydrated while trotting through. Wait for a sunny day then go check it out!

I don't even live in the city and I spent a good amount of time walking through bowring park. It's a great spot to stop and have a picnic or something as well in you're into that kind of thing. It's a big area with lots of well maintained lawns.
I'm personally a big fan of the walking trail that loops around the outside of the park. (For the life of me I can't remember the name of the trail.) Great for a quick evening stroll.

I go to Bowring almost every evening for a walk with my girlfriend and dog. It has wooded areas and open areas so you can walk in any area you wish. IT has two duck ponds where you can watch and feed them food that you can pick up in local Marie's Mini Marts. There is a pool for everyone and a splash pad for children. In the winter there are lights in the trees and around the pond which makes a very romantic night or a fun family evening.

Bowring Park is really the jewel in the crown of the city parks. St. John's would be a much worse city without it.
